Begin with the face by using cotton wool wetted in cooled boiled water. clean each eye from inside to out. Use a different cotton for each wipe. In the end, dry the face with a soft towel.

For the ears, clean only the back and the outside. Make sure that the cotton is clean every time. And dry the ear after cleaning. Avoid putting anything inside the ear to clean it.

Then, dab around the lips and nose as milk usually dribbles. Dab the cheeks and forehead as well and dry with a towel.

Clean below the jaw and collar lines with clean damp cotton wool, as sweat, dust, and milk drips are likely to gather here and can bother the skin. Dry properly.

Carry on wiping under the arms with cotton wool, tenderly pulling the arms up to level out the lines. Unbend the child’s fists to clean the hands and between the fingers. Make sure that these areas are absolutely dry before going on.

lastly, rinse the nappy area using bits of cotton wool immersed in lukewarm water with baby soap added to it. wipe it dry and apply cream or baby powder.
